Welcome to Manor Drive Medical Centre Online

building.jpg We are pleased to announce a merger between Manor Drive Surgery and the GP Medical Unit from 1st April 2011. This will be as one new practice called Manor Drive Medical Centre.

All patients will automatically become registered with the new practice.   The registration of patients will be with the Manor Drive Medical Centre and no longer with individual doctors.   However, you will continue to book an appointment with the doctor of your choice in the normal way and there is no need to re-register.

We can reassure you that the new practice will retain all the existing doctors, nurses and staff.

It will be a gradual process over some months to integrate the two Practices and the merger will not be fully effective until phone lines and computer systems are linked.   We shall keep all patients informed of the changes as they take place during this period of integration and until then patients should continue to contact the surgery in the normal way to make enquiries or book appointments.

Ultimately patients will have a greater choice of male and female doctors over both sites.

We have already appointed a phlebotomist and additional health care assistant and all patients will be able to access this service from 1st April through the appointments desk in the normal way.

In joining up together we will create a larger and more sustainable medical centre where we are able to share knowledge and expertise for the benefit of our patients.   In the future we hope this will enable us to offer more improved services.

We appreciate your support and patience while we work on integrating both practices and we will keep you informed.  Please see our latest Newsletter for important information about the new computer installation on the 11th October and the way this will temporarily affect patient services. If you have any feedback or comments please contact in the usual way.
