HOW
DO I...
MAKE
APPOINTMENTS?
All surgeries are by appointment
only. Please only telephone the appointment number between 9.00am - 12.30pm and 2.30 - 4.30pm (Monday
- Friday) or call at the surgery. Please note this line is only answered
during these times. Each appointment is for ONE person only. Please
ask for a double appointment if you wish to discuss more than one problem
with the doctor.
Patients on the list at Manor Drive Surgery
have the right to express a preference to receive services from a specific
practitioner and the surgery must be notified of this preference in
writing. The surgery will endeavour to comply with any reasonable preference
expressed but there may be circumstances where this may not be possible.
If you need to speak
to a doctor or nurse during the day they are usually available at the
end of morning surgery only.
Cancellation
Every week around 15 appointments are wasted because patients do not attend. Please
telephone us if you are unable to attend for your appointment as it
may then be offered to another needy patient.
Emergencies/Urgent Illness
Emergencies and sudden illness
cases will be given special times to attend. Please be prepared to
give some detail of your problem to the reception staff. This will help
us to fit you in as best we can. Unfortunately you may have to wait
longer at these times than at routine appointments. Please do not abuse
this system by asking for an urgent attendance if your problem can wait.
